Position Overview
Glow Paddle 30A is hiring a Location Manager to lead all aspects of operations for the upcoming season. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for team performance, guest experience, revenue growth, and daily execution.
This is not a desk job. It is an active, outdoor, fast paced role in one of Florida’s most competitive coastal markets.
Compensation
Base Pay
$1,200 per week for 8 month season
Commission
Performance based commission on total bookings with realistic earning potential of $300 to $600 per month
Total Seasonal Compensation Range
$41,600 to $46,400+
High performance may lead to year round leadership opportunities.
Schedule
Must be available nights
Primary operations occur at sunset and in the evening
Weekend availability required
Additional daytime hours required for management duties and marketing efforts
Core Responsibilities
Location Operations
Oversee nightly launch and tour operations
Ensure smooth check in, waiver completion, and safety briefings
Monitor weather and make operational decisions
Maintain strict safety standards on and off the water
Ensure all equipment is charged, clean, and tour ready
Team Leadership
Recruit, hire, train, and schedule guides and dock staff
Lead pre shift meetings
Maintain strong team culture and accountability
Coach staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
Handle staffing challenges and performance issues
Revenue and Performance
Maximize occupancy across all tour times
Build relationships with vacation rental managers, hotels, and local businesses
Execute grassroots marketing and local outreach
Drive positive reviews and repeat bookings
Track and improve key performance metrics
Inventory and Asset Management
Manage clear kayaks, LED lighting systems, life jackets, paddles, and safety equipment
Maintain organized storage and dock areas
Track equipment usage and maintenance needs
Prevent loss and ensure proper care of all assets
Marketing Execution
Capture photo and video content for social media
Work with central marketing support on promotions
Distribute rack cards and maintain local presence
Encourage social engagement and online reviews
Administrative
Track nightly revenue and attendance
Submit required reports
Coordinate payroll and staffing hours
Ensure compliance with permits and safety standards
Qualifications
Prior management experience in hospitality, tourism, outdoor recreation, or event operations preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Comfortable working outdoors in heat and humidity
Physically capable of lifting and moving kayaks and equipment
Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth
